terminator acne cream
Acne cream rash/irritation, help????
My son has been using this acne cream( acnefree-terminator 10) and it contains benzoyl peroxide. He recently developed scaly rashes on his face, chin area. There hasn't been any problems before this, he started using it about 2 weeks ago. Is there any thing he can do to get rid of his rash, how so? And, how can he get rid of his acne without using medicines, creams, etc.?
I just discovered your question by searching Google for "acne cream rashes", because the very exact thing is happening to me (and I asked my own question on the same subject this morning). I used the exact same product as your son...on my forehead, chin, and neck, and I am now suffering with a red, raised, itchy rash in those areas. This product should be taken off the shelves due to the extremely harsh nature of such a high level of benzoyl peroxide.
As far as what to do, I called the Walgreen's pharmacy this morning and was told that hydrocortisone helps, but that it can leave "streaking" on the face. He also advised taking Benadryl and leaving cold compresses on the area. One answerer to my question also advised using Preparation H, which I haven't tried yet. If you find any solutions that work, please post them as additional details in your question...maybe it will help me as well.
I wish your son luck, and know that he's not the only one suffering from this same problem.
